Moonlit Night
by Du Fu

Tonight the moon rises
Over Fu Zhou
Perhaps she's standing alone
Gazing from the bedroom doorway

While inside the children play
They're so far away
And too young to have
Any memory of Chang An

Thinking of the fragrant mist
That moistens her hair
Her bare arms gleaming like jade
In the chill night air

When we two next stand together
Again in the curtains entangled
Under the moon's glow
Then our tears will be dried
